CURRENT POSITIONS

FIELD TECHNICIAN
 

Field Technicians (FT) are responsible for testing/troubleshooting, installation, configuring and commissioning a variety of industrial hardware products at customer sites and remotely from our office in Lake Dallas, TX.    Field Technicians also will occasionally support controls engineers with projects involving control panel design and fabrication, PLC/RTU programming/troubleshooting, HMI/SCADA programming/troubleshooting, documentation support, and commissioning assistance.​

Job Duties: 

  • Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and/or repairs industrial instrumentation products equipment including (but not limited to) controls, motor controls, pumps, transmitters, valves and electrical systems.   

  • Perform calibration, installation, testing, programming, and commissioning or various devices. 

  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs on various instrumentation products using a variety of tools and testing equipment.

  • Setting up new instrumentation and calibration to specifications using schematics and drawings.

  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics for a variety of industrial devices.  

  • Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce reports.

  • Troubleshoots instrumentation functionality and I/O operation.

  • Termination of IO Cables at instrumentation and PLC Enclosure and perform IO loops checks from instrumentation to PLC.   

  • ​Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in the water/wastewater industry as a filed technician, operator, or other. 

  • General computer skills and familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc),  Google Docs, or other equivalent general software products.    

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with all levels of customers, coworkers and management.

  • Self-motivated with high levels of transparency and integrity.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others and independently as tasks require.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by previous experience and/or training involving water construction, maintenance and repair type work, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver's license.
